It seems like a short time ago that we first opened our doors here at TCA Electric, but 2019 marks the 10-year anniversary of TCA’s founding! The past decade has been a whirlwind for us, and we’re proud of how far we’ve come as leading Vancouver electricians. We’ve worked on thousands of homes and businesses across Vancouver while growing as a company, and we have strived to provide unparalleled workmanship and customer service from the moment we opened our doors. To celebrate this special occasion, today’s post is all about TCA! We’re looking back on where we’ve come, looking ahead to our plans moving forward, and most of all, thanking you, our wonderful customers, for choosing us as your trusted Vancouver electrician!
How did TCA get started?
TCA Electric founders Sean and Glen officially opened our doors on July 22, 2009, each bringing their own talents to the business. With Glen’s experience and electrical knowledge, and Sean’s skills and drive to create a thriving business, we were excited to provide both electrical expertise and unmatched customer service throughout Vancouver. Our team has grown over the years, but our values have remained constant. Our team of electricians is proud to offer Vancouver residents a uniquely diverse range of services while valuing each of our customers.
What challenges did TCA face?
We’re proud of the work we’ve done but expanding hasn’t always come without growing pains. As our team of Vancouver electricians grew as large as 15, the amount of administrative work ballooned as well – with sales, project management, scheduling, training, and more responsibilities all falling to just a couple of people. We were delighted that customers kept coming our way, but management responsibilities needed to be streamlined if we were to keep up. Eventually, our founders stumbled on a brilliant business coaching program that helped bring more structure to TCA. We implemented management systems and promoted some of our top crew, allowing our founders to focus on the things that matter most: moving TCA Electric forward, providing top-quality electrical work, and caring for each and every one of our customers.
Our proudest accomplishments
At TCA Electric, we take pride in the many things we’ve achieved over the past 10 years. We’re proud of the work environment we’ve fostered, one that allows our electricians to hone their skills in different sectors of electrical work, from residential to marina to commercial and industrial. Our values are reflected in our company culture, as well, and we’re proud to say our TCA team values Respect, Teamwork, and Knowledge. No matter what, our team is always there to support each other and hit our goals together. And finally, we’re especially proud of the customer service we continue to offer our clients. We can always find new ways to improve, and we’re excited to approach our customers with new and improved services that will continue to make their lives easier.
Our TCA team is particularly proud of several projects we’ve gotten to work on over the years, as well. The Mosquito Creek Marina ocean home project was a huge undertaking and a resounding success, while the Grand Villa Casino Project, featured in our project spotlights series, was both challenging and rewarding. And of course, we beamed with pride when we were recognized at the HAVAN Ovation Awards. It was a delight to see all our team’s hard work recognized!
What’s next for TCA?
We’ve achieved a lot in the last 10 years, but now is not the time to rest on our laurels. Looking ahead, there’s still much more for us to accomplish, both short term and long. By December of this year, we’re aiming to increase our weekly produced hours to 600 per week. It’s a lofty goal, but we think we can get there! We’re also aiming to double our revenue in the next three years as our electricians continue to provide top-notch electrical services across Vancouver. With that increasing amount of work, we want to expand our team – allowing for more full time management positions and additional field crews to provide the most efficient service possible! And of course, now that we’ve set such a high standard, we want to continue being the best – providing top-notch customer service and electrical work and winning further awards.
